"Killer Clowns" - Isn’t it just like Halloween?

No - and it could ruin your life!

Why? Because you could be committing a number of criminal offences such as:

(1) Using Threatening Behaviour within the hearing or sight of a person likely to be caused harassment, alarm or distress (potential hefty fine)

(2) Using Threatening Behaviour with intent to cause harassment, alarm or distress (potential prison time)

(3) Using Threatening Behaviour with intent to cause a person to believe that immediate unlawful violence will be used against them (potential prison time)

There are other possible offences such as a criminal Assault (you don't need to hit someone to criminally "assault" them) and having an offensive weapon or bladed article with you in a public place.

And even if the police offer you a caution or conditional caution it may be disclosable when you apply for your next job or if you decide to go overseas.

Which means you might not get your next job or be able to do the things you want to do in life.

Tempted to encourage a mate to dress up and act the "Killer Clown”? Remember that it is also a criminal offence to assist or encourage someone else to commit a criminal offence. So you could be sentenced as if you had done it yourself!
